Jack and the Beanstalk 🌱

Once upon a time, in a small village, there lived a boy named Jack. Jack lived with his mother in a little cottage. They were very poor and had only one cow named Bessie. One day, Jack’s mother said, “Jack, we have no money left. You must take Bessie to the market and sell her so we can buy some food.”

Jack took Bessie and walked towards the market. On his way, he met a strange old man. The man looked at Bessie and then at Jack. He smiled and said, “Hello, young lad! Are you selling your cow?”

“Yes,” replied Jack. “We need money to buy food.”

The old man held out his hand, showing Jack some colorful beans. “These are magic beans,” he said. “If you plant them, they will grow into something amazing. I will trade these beans for your cow.”

Jack thought for a moment. He loved adventures and magic, so he agreed to the trade. He handed Bessie to the old man and took the beans. The old man smiled and disappeared.

When Jack returned home, his mother was very upset. “Jack! How could you trade our cow for these silly beans?” she cried. She threw the beans out of the window and sent Jack to bed without dinner.

The next morning, Jack woke up and saw a giant beanstalk outside his window. It was so tall that it reached the sky! Jack was amazed. He decided to climb the beanstalk and see what was at the top. 🌿🌿🌿

Jack climbed higher and higher until he reached the clouds. There, he saw a huge castle. Jack knocked on the door, and a kind-looking giantess opened it. “Hello, little boy. What brings you here?” she asked.

Jack was very polite. “Hello, ma’am. I was curious about what is at the top of the beanstalk. May I come in?”

The giantess nodded and let Jack in. She warned him, “You must be careful. My husband is a giant, and he is not very friendly.”

Jack thanked the giantess and hid behind a big pot when he heard a loud noise. The ground shook as the giant entered the castle.

Fee-fi-fo-fum, I smell the blood of an Englishman. Be he alive, or be he dead, I’ll grind his bones to make my bread!”

Jack was very scared but stayed hidden. The giant ate his meal and soon fell asleep. Jack saw a golden harp that could play beautiful music by itself and a hen that laid golden eggs. He knew he had to take these treasures to help his mother.

He grabbed the harp and the hen and ran towards the beanstalk. The harp began to sing, waking the giant. “Stop, thief!” the giant roared.

Jack climbed down the beanstalk as fast as he could. When he reached the bottom, he shouted to his mother, “Mother, bring the axe!” His mother quickly brought the axe, and Jack chopped down the beanstalk. The giant fell from the sky and disappeared.

Jack and his mother were now very rich. The hen laid golden eggs, and the harp played beautiful music every day. They lived happily ever after.
